Tasks > Task 2
Reasons Why
Your teacher will allocate your team one of the five threats we are looking at.
Firstly we are going to complete a T-Chart about the threat your team is investigating.
The TChart should include pictures to represent facts associated with your allocated threat. There's a template on the right hand side of the page which you can print off and complete. When finished, use an iPad to take a photo and upload this to your 'Endangered Animals' Folder. If you would like to see an example, click here ....
Now in your teams have a look at the images below, you can click on them to make them bigger. These are called Infographics ... these may be new to you, but they are a great way of presenting information in a graphical format.
You will now create an Infographic on your allocated threat. You will use an A3 sheet of paper to present your interesting data.
Now, let's look at some consumer products and consider how these may impact on this issue.....
On a wall of the classroom, we are going to make a collage of items that may contribute in some way to habitat destruction. For example, empty Savoy biscuit boxes, twisties wrapper etc. These products contain uncertified palm oil. Ask your parents to help you collect things! Perhaps these are items that we can learn to live without?
Now, in your teams, create a storyboard of what led to this issue ... think about the history .... use a timeline to tell a story about this issue....Click on the image below to see an example of a storyboard.
